Victoria’s Hope for Widows Mission in Nigeria

Hope for widows Mission is located in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. 

I’ve always envisioned putting smiles back on wrinkled and stressed faces of widows here in Akwa Ibom State but my very little resources isn’t enough. 

The widows here try their best for their children and it seems their best isn’t enough, the younger widows get old too soon due to limited resources and challenging economic situation. They loose their fatherless children due to hardship and abandonment following the demise of their husbands who sometimes where missionaries, these widows look so helpless and forgotten, hence my dream to make them smile and also constantly remind them to put their hopes in God because He had promised that He’ll not leave them neither will He forsake them.

Sister Rita Cochrane along side  Women Bible study of Green Hills Church of Christ has  strengthened the foundation of this mission and I encourage faithful Christians to support this mission. God bless you  immensely.

The stronger widows are trained on skill acquisition like soap and  pomade making, also snacks making, when they are done, we mobilise them with some funds to be able to make the products, sell and support their children.

For the ones who are already engaged in petty trading and also farming, we support them with some funds to encourage their businesses.

Then for the very aged ones we visit them with message of hope and encourage them with food stuff and funds to keep living.

I plan to do more as the funds will carry, because helping others is what we live for and these is pleasing in the sight of God.
